Well, probably the ONLY reason congress gave support to #AAP is that (they thought) it’s going to hurt both BJP and AAP.
Agree, but then why isn’t BJP able to gain the same popularity as #AAP? At the end of the day, the only thing people want is attention to the grassroot problems, a radical change in how leaders think of the People. People can’t be taken for granted anymore.
AAP is shaking both the grand old parties up. Why do you say only BJP is hurting, and wait- why should it be just a question of vote numbers, what about People’s problems, issues? They don’t even want to talk about it. If BJP is worth it, it should get their share of votes. It’s just that people are more aware now and it’s not a ‘Walk over’ for any of the parties anymore. They have to start ‘copying’ some/all of what #AAP is doing. Get back to closer to the masses, be more open. And it doesn’t hurt to be righteous. I’m still not sure why people aren’t asking BJP to disclose its source of funds. That would be the FIRST step towards gaining people’s support/votes. The game has changed, and being played on a brand new turf!
Frankly, as a voter I don’t even care about Kejriwal, Ilmi, Modi etc. I don’t believe in hero worship. They are just a means to get people’s things done. People have started demanding real democracy and whoever gets more points in that wins. I’m not aware of any ‘Modi wave’ or ‘AAP wave. If there is one, it’s bad for us. It shouldn’t be ‘waves’ defining political outcomes.
I’d say AAP or any party enabling congress back in power WITHOUT a Powerful and righteous OPPOSITION is bad. I can’t give undue advantage to a bad guy because of the fear of another bad guy! May the good one win!
The whole problem is – politics has reduced to ‘bachche so ja warna bhedia khaa jaega’ instead of discussing the grassroot level problems facing us. ‘Terrorism’, ‘Kashmir’ , ‘Religion’ etc. are those ‘bhedias’ we’re always being scared about, and now the newest one is ‘Congress’ . I can discuss in detail about it and prove. Maybe you already know this.
I’d give them some time to put their act together on Shiela and CWG. It’s a big one to fight against them. Would need all the legally valid proofs. And BJP is keeping them too busy with so many ‘allegations’ they have to keep refuting the whole day. BJP could’ve guided and helped them in any of the good points, and would have earned some brownie points from people. If they take more than 6 months to act, I’d start questioning them myself.
When I was a ‘blind’ supporter of a party, I didn’t realize this, but nowadays the politicians aren’t deft at even fooling people. Many a times their hidden tactics are clear if you have followed them closely. They don’t even care about what people will think. I do believe BJP is being guided by some ‘consultants’. An experienced politician would be good at even telling lies. The current reactive approach by BJP to AAP is just spoiling the whole thing for them. I had never seen MA Naqvi calling names out of frustration. Not Jaitely, Sushma etc. All of them are mincing words now, and contradicting their previous statements. It’s pathetic. I feel sad myself at this state of the BJP. I do believe they do not have a leader. It’s not AAP hurting them, they’re hurting themselves.
Let’s put a deadline for the shiela/cwg/mcd scam probe by AAP. If BJP helps them by keeping silent and not attacking them etc the whole day, maybe they can find time to do that! Why is an AAP guy contesting against Pappu if they are aligned with cong? There’s a lot more that makes me think otherwise. I told u the reason why cong is giving the support.
KV challending Modi in Amethi? KV’s point has been twisted. He is NOT challenging Modi but is asking a very valid question – if Modi is against dynasty politics, why doesn’t he fight the one representing the dynaty politics. He has told many a times he’d be happy if Modi wins and he loses. I’ve only seen KV telling he has a lots of respect for Modi. His only point is why Modi isn’t stopping the dynasty potitics and the corrupt/gundas in the BJP? What’s wrong in that? Why is questioning a wrong thing always treated as an ‘Attack’? That’s the language our bankrupt media has promoted. KV says he’s ready to debate these points anywhere with RG as well.
Even if Kumar vishwas fights, why wouldn’t people vote for BJP? Why is the BJP so worried? Why don’t they try to win people’s hearts.
Also, KV has talked about arrangements from the parties (BJP/SP/congress etc) where they help each other win their ‘comfort’ seats by not putting up a fight on those seats, like a cartel! The whole opposition etc is a natak being payed in front of us supporters, actually at a high level the parties help each other in some way.
KV has also told (in the past) if ANY party implements their demands in favor of the people, they don’t need AAP and they’ll dissolve AAP.
Ideally BJP should just ignore KV and his statements. They’re helping him by all such reactions. Even in his interview yesterday and today he told he respects Modi. The reality of KV’s inteviews is he’s talked much MORE about shehzada than Modi, much more!, but someone is ignoring that. This tells AAP isn’t good at PR. Almost every statement of theirs is twisted and presented in front of people in a bad light.
BJP has its own deficiencies, hollowness nowadays that they tried to hide with the ‘Modi wave’. They could’ve done some homework. Even if, for once, we believe Cong=AAP, they should work hard to do the right things to gain ground. Mud slinging is only going to make AAP look like the victim and people will support AAP more. BJP should stop this rightaway if they want to gain ground. Actually in the right kind of democracy, the ‘ruling party’ and ‘opposition’ should work together on things good for the people. Much before AAP, I myself started feeling BJP stopped being powerful opposition, and was somehow being ‘arm-twisted’ by congress in the background. How did the biggest scams in the history happen right under their nose? What were they doing as an opposition all this while? Makes me question the opposition no less than the ruling party!
